Trapped in the dark

"Caught in the Darkness" is a work of art dealing with the theme of depression. It consists of an installation that combines different elements to visualize the experience of depression.

The facial features range from relatively expressionless to the point of sadness, illustrating the emotional emptiness and loss of zest for life that are typical of depression. The entire head is surrounded by a black, diffuse veil, which is intended to clarify the negative thought spirals of this disease.

The aim of this artwork is to make the invisibility of depression visible and create a space for reflection and understanding. It aims to draw attention to the fact that depression is a serious mental illness that can trap people deep inside. "Caught in the Darkness" aims to simultaneously promote compassion and awareness for those struggling with this condition.
